Matt Noyce is the founder of MNC and has 25 years’ experience in life insurance and reinsurance, across the Australia & New Zealand, Asia and UK markets.
Matt’s previous leadership roles include Chief Pricing Actuary for Swiss Re and a member of the Australian Leadership Team and Asia Products Leadership Team. Prior to that he was the Chief Pricing Officer for CommInsure and responsible for the pricing of its Life and General Insurance portfolio.
His technical expertise covers pricing, product design, experience studies, reserving, regulatory capital, risk management, reinsurance and M&A’s.
Joseph Chan is a consulting actuary with over 15 years of experience in the Australian life insurance industry, having worked in product, pricing, data analytics and valuation roles within consulting, insurance & reinsurance.
In his previous role as Executive Manager of Pricing and Analytics for CommInsure, he was involved in an extensive Data Separation Project - when CommInsure was sold to AIA Australia - to separate CommInsure’s data from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) data warehouse. Joseph has also worked for KPMG and Munich Re.
Rhoda Harrington has over 25 years of insurance experience and has worked for the past ten years in Senior Pricing Actuary roles within consultancy, reinsurance broking and reinsurance with extensive knowledge of the Group Insurance sector.
She previously worked at Retender as Principal Development Actuary and RGA as a Senior Pricing Actuary and, prior to this, spent almost 5 years in AMP and CommInsure in Group Pricing and Valuation roles, pricing most industry funds and master trusts in the market.
David has worked as an actuary in the Australian insurance market for over 30 years. He has extensive experience in Life Insurance financial reporting and Life Reinsurance, including leading reporting and reinsurance project teams.
David’s previous roles include over 10 years at CommInsure in valuation, wealth management and group risk roles, and Head of CMLA Treaty Partnerships at AIA Australia.
David is experienced at process engineering to provide valuable management data and has extensive knowledge and experience of business sale/purchases and the associated reinsurance implications.
Michele is passionate about the retirement income space, with several years’ experience of product development and pricing of retirement income solutions (retail & group) and longevity modelling.
Michele spent the last 4 years as Pricing Manager, Industry Funds for MLC and the previous 3 years as Senior Actuary, Retirement Incomes for TAL.
With a proven ability to manage people, projects and resources across many different subject-matter areas, her earlier experience in the UK market includes structuring longevity and investment reinsurance solutions for defined benefit pensions and life office annuities, and the pricing and valuation of longevity and investment risk transfer.
She has also spent more than 10 years working for some of the largest employee benefit consultancies in pensions valuation, consulting, reporting and project management for many of the FTSE100 companies.
Chenny is a qualified actuary with experience in the Australian group market and more recently, Insurtech experience in the UK.
He spent the last 4 years working in InsurTech/Robo Advice as Head of Protection Advice at Anorak Technologies in London.
Chenny also worked for TAL for 4 years from 2012 to 2016, including in the roles of Data Analytics Actuary and Group Pricing Actuary, having worked on some large, successful insurance tenders for superannuation funds.
Chenny is a daily and expert user of R, SQL, BigQuery and Excel, experienced in Python & SAS.
Adele Turner has over 12 years of life insurance experience working in the reinsurance and consulting world, in Australia, the UK and India. She has worked in product design and pricing in retail, direct and group insurance as well as pricing micro-insurance schemes in India.
Adele also has marketing experience and has been involved in many experience studies. Adele successfully completed Swiss Re's three year Leadership Development Programme and is an experienced people and project manager.
Adele previously held roles as Senior Marketing Actuary for Swiss Re’s Indian Life Insurance business and Deputy Chief Pricing Actuary at Swiss Re Australia. Prior to that she worked for Swiss Re and EY in the UK.
Dorothy Cheng has almost 10 years life insurance experience across pricing, product design, valuation and reinsurance across both retail advice and group life business. Her experience spans both insurance and reinsurance and she has strong project management and communication skills and M&A experience. Dorothy is a motivated individual with a strong interest in data analytics.
Dorothy’s previous roles include Pricing Actuary for Pacific Life Re and Finance Business Partner & Pricing Manager at AMP.
Bob Rick has extensive experience helping group life insurance actuaries to build and maintain complex pipelines for data validation, financial modelling, and insights analysis including building Generalised Linear Models (GLM’s). He is competent in leveraging the power of R and SQL for engineering infrastructure and building reproducible processes for his clients which translate into actionable insights. Bob Rick is also proficient in Python, VBA and SPSS.
He has an entrepreneurial nature and a unique background being a trader for a proprietary cryptocurrency trading firm and having worked in a government market research firm for a period.
Pieter is a qualified actuary with 14 years of experience in data science and machine learning, including co-founding a small data science company and serving as chief data scientist. Pieter has 24 years' experience in financial services, across banking, investments and actuarial consulting. He has a strong background in quantitative financial derivative, investment and actuarial modelling. His experience includes asset modelling, derivative trading, investment consultancy, goal optimization, expected credit loss, Hidden Markov Models, defined benefit pension valuations and actuarial methods.
Pieter has over 3o years of programming experience including Excel, VBA, R, Python, Java, C++, C# and SQL, working in both Windows and Linux environments. He has many years of object-oriented programming experience and served as one of the principal architects of several large-scale libraries and systems.
Akash recently qualified as an actuary and has comprehensive skills in group pricing, preparing Financial Condition Reports and Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks. He has strong technical skills, including R, SQL and VBA.
Akash previously worked as a Pricing Analyst at RGA and AIA Australia, and as a trainee actuarial consultant at EY.
Ben is a qualified actuary with experience across life insurance valuation and group life/retail advice pricing. Within group risk he has been involved with pricing the insurance benefits of 10+ industry funds during a period of great regulatory change within superannuation.
He is proficient in Prophet, Excel and SQL and is a solid R coder. He was awarded the Merit Scholarship from Macquarie University, is a fast learner, a great communicator and study mentor to actuarial analysts.
Apurba is a qualified actuary (FIAA/CERA) with several years’ experience working in the Valuation & Capital team at RGA with a strong understanding of Life Insurance valuation principles, USGAAP & AIFRS accounting standards and LAGIC requirements.
Apurba took only two years to become a qualified actuary and is a proficient coder in SQL, Oracle and R.
Jiazhen has considerable experience of pricing industry funds, having spent a significant amount of time whilst at MNC seconded to large group risk insurers. He has also gained pricing experience from working on competitive tenders for large mastertrusts at MNC and recently wrote the group pricing training modules for MNC’s graduate training programme. Jiazhen is proficient in using R to improve group pricing processes and provide data insights to our clients.
Jiazhen also participated in the Macquarie University 180 Degrees Consulting programme that provides students with the opportunity to work on consulting projects for non-profit organisations solutions working with a small for profit start-up in education.
Constance is progressing towards AIAA with comprehensive skills in Group Pricing strategy and internal/external stakeholder management. She has strong technical skills, including Excel, VBA, and R. Her work experience includes group pricing, retail pricing, valuation and APRA reporting for an insurer. She has 3 years experience in the Australian market. Prior to this, Constance worked in an assistant accounting role for 3 years.
She is also a member of the Young Actuary Program (NSW) and is an open-minded communicator and good listener. She is passionate about pricing & product development and working on sustainable business solutions.
Aileen has a strong background in several programming languages including R, Python, and SQL and has shown strong technical skills working on both retail and group pricing projects within MNC.
She is passionate about working in the life insurance and superannuation field and recently participated in a university-led retirement savings project which included a large superannuation fund as an industry partner.
Kismat is completing his Actuarial Associateship at Macquarie University. He was previously an Actuarial Analyst with the Insurance Board of Nepal, working on product design directives, building actuarial models and reviewing Financial Condition Reports. He also assisted with the development of the first Nepalese Life Table (NLT-1). His technical skills include R, SQL, Excel, VBA and SAS.
Kismat was involved in implementing a solar and biogas renewable energy project within his home town. He has an inquisitive nature and participated in running group insurance pricing reviews of large industry funds within MNC.
